GeoComm Maps Feature Release

In an emergency every second counts.  GeoComm Maps is a highly available, secure, cloud-native mapping application purpose built to ensure GeoComm’s Public Safety Location Intelligence® Platform, delivers the right location data, to the right people, at the right time.  In October 2021 there will be new features available in GeoComm Maps aimed at empowering users with even more enhanced tools to aid in ensuring your Emergency Communications Center has the latest functionality needed to save more lives.

During this session, Karl Larsen, GeoComm Senior Product Manager for Public Safety Mapping Applications, will overview the latest features available in GeoComm Maps. These features include:

  • Markup drawing tools
  • Access to external data related to a location
  • Z-axis fields (vertical location)

In addition, Ashley Cashion, Director of US Partnerships at what3words (W3W) will join this session as a guest presenter to highlight a key feature that will now be available in GeoComm Maps.  Ashley will provide of demonstration of W3W and describe how the addition of W3W to GeoComm Maps can provide valuable information to aid in locating 9-1-1 callers.

Finally, Keri Brennan, Product Manager for GeoComm GIS Content and Services, will also share the value of adding additional content such as GeoComm Indoor Maps to your mapping application.
